Already certified as a PADI Open Water Diver and want to do more? The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is your chance to go further, dive deeper, and learn new skills that make every dive more exciting. You’ll complete a mix of training dives that expand your limits and confidence—all while having fun underwater.

What You’ll Do in the Course

The Advanced Open Water Course consists of five Adventure Dives. Two are required, and three are your choice:

1. Required Dives:

   • Deep Dive – Learn to dive safely up to 30 meters (100 feet).

   • Underwater Navigation – Master compass use, natural navigation, and dive planning.

2. Optional Dives (Choose Three):

   • Night Diving

   • Wreck Diving

   • Peak Performance Buoyancy

   • Enriched Air (Nitrox)

   • Underwater Photography / Videography

   • Search & Recovery

   • Fish Identification

   • And more, depending on your interests

Course Details

• Duration: Usually 2–3 days, depending on dive choices.

• Age Requirement: 12+ (with Junior Advanced Open Water option).

• Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent).

• Depth Limit: Up to 30 meters (100 feet).

• Equipment: All scuba gear provided; specialized gear for certain dives included.

After the Course

Once you’re an Advanced Open Water Diver, you’ll:

• Dive deeper (up to 30m).

• Join advanced dive trips worldwide.

• Be ready for specialty courses like Rescue Diver, Wreck Diver, Enriched Air, or even start preparing for PADI Divemaster if you dream of going pro.
